Traditionally set T-shirt Quilts are priced as follows and based on a non-pieced block, cut at 15". Piecing multiple shirt segments together to create a full block is a nice way to handle smaller motifs. Pieced blocks will typically cost $5 more per seam.
Traditionally set T-shirt Quilts without sashing are $13.00 per square. The price includes all material and labor except your t-shirts. We provide the backing and batting and then quilt it together with your t-shirts on the front.
Traditionally set T-shirt Quilts with sashing are $16.00 per square. Sashing is a colored strip of fabric between each square. It typically matches the backing color.
Sashing helps to frame each block, keeps them from "blending" together and adds a nice finished touch.
Borders: Adding a final border to your piece is a nice way to frame the whole quilt. If you choose borders for your piece, there will be an additional charge, based on the number of borders and the size of your quilt. Adding a 6" outer border to your piece will typically add $1-$2/block, with a minimum of $50. Minimum cost is for solid cotton fabric and will change accordingly if the purchaser desires a different material.
Please note that above are samples of finished sizes. Many other sizes from Wall hangings to King sized are available. Pricing will be adjusted for custom sizes.
All pricing will change accordingly of the puchaser desires fabric other than a solid cotton. (Prints, flannels, minkee, etc. are all more costly per yard than are solid cottons). All materials used are of quilt shop quality.
Each square is usually 15" cut, and will finish just over 14" after piecing, but you can specify a different size to make the quilt fit your specifications. (Be sure that your t-shirt motifs are suitable for your desired block size).
